Dr. Kasie Whitener is the founding partner of Clemson Road Consulting, a knowledge consultancy based on Columbia, S.C. In 2018, she Co-Founded the Women’s Business Center of S.C. at Columbia College. Every week, Kasie runs 1 Million Cups Columbia, a free entrepreneur meet-up at the Richland Library on Assembly Street. She teaches entrepreneurship at the Darla Moore School of Business and is project manager for the McNair Center for Entrepreneurism and Free Enterprise at Columbia College. She worked in technology distribution, solution design, and software implementation for ten years before starting Clemson Road Consulting and has assisted clients in non-profit storytelling, IT process documentation, and consulting methodology design since. She has composed feature articles for the Richland Library, and is a frequent guest lecturer for Kaufman’s FastTrac program at Midlands Technical College. A frequent workshop speaker and conference panelist, Dr. Whitener earned her undergraduate degree in english at Clemson University, her masters in english at Winthrop University, and a doctorate in Organization and Management with an emphasis on leadership from Capella University. She lives on the Upper East Side with her husband and daughter (age 10) and is a part-time fiction writer and contributor to the literary scene of Columbia through the South Carolina Writers Association.
