2025….so much is changing!

A new President.  A Republican controlled US House and US Senate.  The way I see it, the Republican party has no excuses.  Don’t get me wrong, I know the majority is pretty slim in the House—and I know some things take 60 votes (which they don’t have) in the Senate…..but.  No excuses.  You’ve got the House, the Senate and The White House.  You also have Elon and Vivek and the DOGE (Dept. of Government Efficiency).  C’mon gang.  How about we make a real effort to cut spending in our country.  

The left wants to tax tax tax.  That’s absurd.  Just stop spending so much and there’s plenty of money to keep America running just fine.  For some reason, people forget that EVERY dollar that comes into the US Government is our money.  Let’s also not kid ourselves.  The liberals wanna tax the wealthy and play the class warfare game.  Facts are facts.  the so-called “wealthy” pay for the majority of this country’s income taxes.  I don’t want to hurt the poor or even the lower middle class. I just don’t think we need to punish people for their success.  Instead, we cut spending.  There is so much waste.  There’s so much duplication in the Federal government.  It’s a disgrace and it’s ALWAYS been a disgrace…by the Democrats and the Republicans.  Both parties are guilty of wasteful spending.  We can and we must do better.

I’m very curious to see how things go for President Trump.  Let’s face it, he’s got two years to get things done because if tradition holds, midterm elections could spell the end of his ability to get legislation to his desk.  Time will tell on that one.   One thing cannot be disputed.  He was elected by both the popular vote and the Electoral College.  This is the man that America has chosen to lead our nation.  Now, let’s see if  he leads and how much the “Swamp” tries to slow him down.
